I’m your usual housewife.  Oh, I’m also the head nurse, lead chef, head laundress, chauffeur, and COO of this little clan.

I started growing a few vegetables in a small flower garden about a year ago as a way to extend our food budget.  That small garden has grown into a hobby (mostly mine) with dreams of raising some chickens, and eventually a couple of goats.  My ideal garden consists of nice tidy little boxes all in a row.  With lots of hope and time, it is slowly becoming a reality.

With the help of my husband, aka Mr. Dad, we are slowly becoming a little less dependant on The  Grocery Store.  I call Mr. Dad my contractor, landscaper, electrician, and plumber.  Basically, he’s the one I call when something needs fixing or when I have a grand idea that only he can bring to life.

This is a place for me to chronicle all of victories in the garden, along with my many disappointments.  Trust me, there have been many.
