Pantry Moths…

What do you do when you find bugs in over 40 pounds of rice?  That’s what I was asking myself last night as I opened the rice bucket at dinner, only to find pantry moths {also called rice moths or wheat moths}.

What a complete bummer!  Talk about heebie jeebies.  To think of the amount of rice we had already eaten out of the bucket.

Given the fact that our 40 pounds of rice was tightly sealed in a five gallon food grade bucket, the moth larvae had to have been in the rice when we bought it.

Man, oh man, that’s a lot of rice to buy before the impending Zombie Apocalypse.

I’m off to buy more rice.
